Dave is Winsborough founder and Innovation Director. An expert on leadership at the top of organisations, Dave is recognised for his skills in building high performance senior teams. He has undertaken research into the role and performance of senior leadership teams, the personalities of Chief Executives and, with Gus McIntosh, developed the Hogan Team Report.
Gus is a Partner and Director at Winsborough. He heads our Senior Leadership Team to build Winsborough capability and deliver to our customers effective innovative solutions. Gus has been instrumental in developing all of Winsborough’s online offerings, and is co-author of the Hogan Team Report with Dave. He began his career as a Industrial Psychologist in the Airforce where he was involved in the methodology and running of assessment centres, selection of key personnel, and developing high performers. Prior to joining Winsborough, Gus spent five years with a UK public listed Human Resources software and consultancy organisation, initially based in London, then in Chennai, India.
Leadership Development Director
Helen is a Winsborough Partner. Prior to joining Winsborough Limited, Helen was the Director of Army Recruiting for the New Zealand Army and head of Psychology Services. In these roles she gained experience in organisational change and employment branding. Helen has been heavily involved in the design and delivery of assessment and development centres for large clients such as NZ Post and NZ Trade and Enterprise. She is actively coaching a number of senior teams, has contributed to the development of leadership frameworks.
Isha holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from the United Kingdom and Bachelor of Commerce from India. Isha held Office Support roles in leading organisations in New Zealand, India and United Kingdom and brings to the organisation, by virtue of her education and experience, values like hospitable and prompt customer service. She believes that providing clients with polite assistance and understanding their needs is a key to a successful business. As a part of Operations and Support Team she is responsible for smooth and efficient day to day running of Winsborough’s business and a first point of contact for its clients and candidates.
Strategic Relationships Director
Rachael is a Partner and Director at Winsborough. Rachael’s professional expertise spans a broad spectrum of organisational development including assessment (individuals, teams, and organisations), teams, and leadership development. Rachael led the development of leadership frameworks for NZ Police and also for the NZ Defence Force. She is actively involved in ongoing Chief Executive selection assessment, onboarding, and continued development. Before joining Winsborough, Rachael was head of the NZ Army Psychological Services where she worked across all levels of the NZDF. Rachael was the NZ National Leader on a Five Nations working group conducting research on survival psychology.
Sonya is a Winsborough Partner. As a registered organisational psychologist, Sonya has a passion for working with organisations to build leadership performance. Sonya has professional experience across public and private sectors in both consulting and in-house roles. She works with a number of high profile New Zealand companies including Air New Zealand, BNZ, Datacom, Fletcher Building, Fonterra, and Spark to develop initiatives for improved engagement and performance at both the individual and organisational level. She is determined to improve New Zealand’s leadership bench strength. This has seen her designing and coaching on intensive leadership assessment and development centres, developing talent through leadership profiling and assessment, coaching senior teams, and identifying future leaders from grads. Sonya’s clients comment on her ability to combine a wealth of experience with a pragmatic approach, warmth, and good humour.
A consultant in our Wellington Office, Ruth Rothman is passionate about helping people reach their potential, and organisations grow their leadership capacity. Prior to joining Winsborough, Ruth was exploring the world of entrepreneurship with her company Offtrack Ltd. Before this she was Executive Officer at the Army Adventurous Training Centre. Her eight years as an Infantry Officer also included three deployments, to East Timor and Afghanistan. Ruth successfully completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honors in Psychology and is working on higher qualifications. Her recent work at Winsborough includes assessment report writing and hiring manager briefs for a variety of executive positions. Ruth has been involved in developing a specialist report for sports coaches, revealing athletes’ strengths and weaknesses.
Melanie is a Senior Consultant with a sound track record in leadership assessment and development. Having delivered senior level assessment centres and a range of leadership development programmes, she is focused on creating environments for leaders to arrive at actionable insights. Melanie’s recent work has involved designing a large scale business graduate programme, aligning a global competency model, as well as overseeing the use of psychometrics tools for a multinational organisation. She is passionate about using strengths-based approaches and leveraging her experiences working in-house, to deliver tangible organisational results and maximise the potential of leaders she works with.
Ari believes in adding value and thrives on working with people to provide timely, efficient and an excellent standard of expertise and customer care at every interaction. Ari is responsible for management and smooth running of Winsborough’s Survey’s and Development Programmes. Ari is very detail focused, so ensures seamless operational and day-to-day running of projects by managing the integration of internal resources and on-going client liaison. Ari has a degree in Psychology and Classical Studies from Victoria University, and remains passionate about staying up to date with data and new research, as well as music, art, books and history.
Brendan has great experience delivering leadership programmes. He has led a Leadership Centre which focused on the development of strategic self awareness. Brendan has played a key role in the design and implementation of a Leadership Development System for a workforce of 12 000 people. He really enjoys enabling teams to function more effectively. He has worked with business teams and high performance sports team, has a curious mind and an easy going manner. He has a passion for helping leaders improve performance. Brendan believes in using his skills and experience to help make this country a better place.
As a Senior Consultant, Katherine has extensive experience in the Assessment and Development of Leaders across a range of NZ businesses. She works with clients at all stages of the process, from developing Leadership Frameworks, to designing and implementing assessment processes and training assessors and coaches. With in-depth experience working in both the public and private sectors, Katherine balances the needs of the business with a strong focus on achieving individual insight and behavioural change.
Katherine’s breadth of experience spans interview training to United Nations delegates in New York to assessing Leadership potential in grads with iconic kiwi companies. With her pragmatic approach and sense of humour, Katherine gains traction and forms trusted relationships with her clients.
Having worked with AJ Park, an award winning intellectual property firm, Kieran understands the importance of a company’s people, especially the efficient and effective solutions that they can provide to clients. People’s ambitions and motivations behind the work they do is what drew Kieran to the field of organisational psychology. In his role here at Winsborough, he is predominantly focused on ensuring that the survey process for clients runs smoothly. His attention to detail and clear, concise communication help to maintain the high quality of work that client’s expect. Kieran has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and criminology from Victoria University.
