Sonya is a seasoned organisational psychologist with a career spanning more than two decades, across a range of industries, from banking and legal to health and energy. She works at all levels with particular expertise in executive selection and organisational data insights. Sonya brings an energetic and proactive approach to her mahi, and excels in leading project design and delivery. Her pragmatic and straight-up style leads to clear decisions that helps clients find an optimal balance between their needs and best practice.

Executive selection, succession, and development, and gleaning insights from organisational data are areas of specialty, including providing advice on selecting talent, designing leadership frameworks, and implementing successful succession planning.

Before joining Winsborough, Sonya was head of the Royal NZ Navy Psychology Services (2000-2006) working across all NZDF levels. She has also led NZDF Force Extraction Teams, designed and facilitated assessment centres, and developed and implemented performance appraisal systems for both civilian and military personnel.
