Helen Horn

As Partner and Head of Growth Helen leads Winsborough’s expansion into Australia. She supervises and advises on the team’s work while partnering with clients to increase effectiveness. Her recent work has included playing a pivotal role in selecting chief executives and senior leaders across a diverse range of public and private sector organisations. She has also facilitated numerous executive team workshops and coached leaders. Helen integrates Te Tiriti o Waitangi into her practice and regularly evaluates her cultural competence using the Te Arawhiti Framework.

Helen is also a seasoned professional with over two decades of expertise in leadership selection and development. Her extensive experience spans a wide range of industries, including health,
emergency management, transport, education, primary industry, energy, banking, and construction.
She has worked across all organisational levels, from individual contributors to executives and
boards, with a particular focus on executive leadership. Helen is highly skilled in designing and
delivering leadership development programmes, assessment centres, and leadership frameworks.

Helen has been at Winsborough for 14 years and, prior to that, spent 14 years selecting, developing and leading leaders in the NZ Army. She is a Leadership Development Centre pre-qualified coach for Chief Executive and Senior System Leaders. Continuing to grow her te reo Māori skills and bicultural practice is a current goal.
